The role:Reporting to the Program Director, we are looking for talented people who share our vision of delivering critical programs successfully in a way which inspires confidence, enhances transparency, and empowers teams.As a Project Director, you will:Lead a team of project management resources in delivering key projects.Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk ICT infrastructure projects to ensure project outcomes are achieved.Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained within the Division.Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's formal project management (PM) approach and methodologies.Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.Oversee the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.Develop timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for project stakeholders.Is this the opportunity for you?To be successful in this role you must demonstrate excellence in program management with the proven ability to manage teams effectively to achieve successful project outcomes.This role will be responsible for leading the delivery of a complex ICT transition program of work, including the transition of ICT systems and resources between government agencies.
This role will often be required to negotiate and agree project plans, including scope, budget and timelines with multiple government agencies ensuring project plans are supported and delivered on time and within budget.Demonstrated experience delivering multi-agency ICT initiatives will be highly regarded, with experience managing project plans, finance, reporting, risks, issues, and assurance.You will be experienced in managing conflicting priorities across various stakeholders whilst delivering and tracking to agreed budgets and project plans.
