About Us: Our Projects and Development Services (PDS) team provide corporate and institutional clients with the management of design, construction, and relocation services to minimize risk and eliminate unnecessary costs. Projects range from greenfield developments to major fit-outs and refurbishments, from single one-off projects to state, national multi-site, and regional roll-out projects requiring consistent nationwide delivery.
As one of the largest project management firms in Australia with a team of over 320 professional staff, we operate in sectors including commercial, industrial, education, data centres, hotels, retail, and defence.
About the Role: As Project Director, you will take a lead role in securing and retaining new local & national work with existing, new investor and landlord clients. When delivering complex investor-related projects, you will accept total responsibility for the effective management of all phases of a project (or projects) from initial establishment to handover and project closure. The project role requires coordinating thought and leadership skills to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the investor sector-specific project and focus these to maximize outcomes for all stakeholders.
About You: We are looking for someone who can confidently manage project delivery from inception to closure with the ability to assist in the commercial assessment of new projects and in the preparation of project proposals and the delivery of presentations. You will have proven negotiation skills with both internal and external groups including contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities and have the emotional maturity to effectively manage diverse personalities.
An understanding of the legal environment for each project in respect of planning, commercial aspects, and delivery constraints is essential, as well as our obligations for complying with AS 4801, AS 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety legislation generally.
