The EmployerA renewable energy generation and energy storage company with a growing portfolio of assets across the region.The RoleThis is a fixed term contract (2 years) with an option to extend, for a Project Director to oversee the construction of a solar generation and BESS project in western Victoria. This role will have the responsibility for the delivery of the solar and battery components of this project on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and organisation's best practice requirements. To achieve this, the Project Director will manage the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management contract and work closely with contractor partners and collaborate with other functions within the organisation. The role comprises the following accountabilities:Team leadership fostering a high-performance culture.Project Management from an owner's perspective, which includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, and allocation of resources.Contract management of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants in an EPCM environment.Stakeholder management of contractors, regulatory bodies, councils, First Peoples, community, and project sponsors.Technical oversight in line with technical codes and standards from the design phase, through construction, and to commissioning.Financial management comprising budgets, forecasts, and reporting.Drive a safety-first environment ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and best practice.The RequirementsAt least 10 years of Project Director (EPCM) experience, ideally in Victoria.The flexibility to spend 2 days per week on site in rural western Victoria (accommodation provided).Excellent technical understanding of large-scale solar generation and battery storage.A demonstrated successful history of managing multidisciplinary project teams.Experience of Traditional Owner / Aboriginal Victorian engagement, conducting social procurement, and successful community engagement.A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering or Construction Management).The WhyA legacy role where the Project Director will play a part in the energy transition that will ultimately provide more affordable renewable energy and reduce emissions managing future climate change.Please apply via the link or contact Tim Venn for more information: ******.
