The Victorian Government is taking action to transition to net zero emissions by 2050, including initiatives to encourage the transition of the government fleet to zero emissions vehicles (ZEVs). This position presents an exciting opportunity to support the Project & Contract Manager and Senior Project Manager to coordinate VicFleet ZEV transition activities, contributing to an increase in the uptake of ZEVs in the government fleet to achieve the Government agenda to move towards zero emissions. The occupant of this position will coordinate the defect liability period for Electrical Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and other VicFleet ZEV transition project priorities. The role will include supporting the coordination of multiple stakeholders and parties, both internal and external to government.

About the role
This position presents an exciting opportunity to support the Project & Contract Manager and Senior Project Manager to coordinate VicFleet ZEV transition activities, contributing to an increase in the uptake of ZEVs in the government fleet. The occupant will coordinate the defect liability period for Electrical Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and other VicFleet ZEV transition project priorities. The role will enable the occupant to display their broad range of skills in project management, outcomes delivery, well-developed negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills, and will be a great way to further develop project management skills in a broad stakeholder environment.
About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, cooperating and working well with others to provide high-quality work under pressure and to short deadlines.Demonstrated successful experience in supporting the development and delivery management of multiple projects with tight deadlines and attention to detail.Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, and site-based Government and industry stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work productively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and briefs.Key accountabilities Support the Senior Project Manager with ZEV transition projects, including the telematics pilot project and finalising the ZEV charging infrastructure defect and liability period for all project sites.Proactively support the identification and development of scope issues as required to deliver projects on time and on budget, obtaining approvals as required for scope, resources, and cost variations.Support the development and implementation of practical strategies to influence stakeholders at a collective and individual level and work proactively and effectively in a team environment.Develop and maintain constructive relationships with external service providers, contractors, building owners/managers, and other key stakeholders to achieve effective program delivery outcomes.Mandatory requirements Appropriate tertiary qualification in a related discipline, and/or significant experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.For specific responsibilities, please review the attached position description.
