The coordinator's primary focus is on client communications, technician output, and ensuring the client receives a positive project experience.
While project management skills must be utilized, the project coordinator will not be expected to scope projects or make commercial decisions on behalf of an account manager.
This is the function of the project manager.
Job Description Position-specific tasks or responsibilities: Accelerate the throughput and efficiency of the Projects/Professional Service Team and implement controls where needed.
Evaluation of ITIL frameworks and skills required by commercial and government customers.
Ensure all internal stakeholders by way of Projects Team, AMs, and SMEs, are engaged to assist in the accurate scoping of projects.
As part of Project Initiation, work with the Project Engineers and contribute to the Design and Planning of the Project, its subsequent task breakdown, and the supporting Project Timeline/Schedule.
Act as a central repository for information pertaining to the project, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to answer questions or provide updates.
Ensure that project tasks are being completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
Schedule all project meetings, whether internal updates, client updates, or external project closure meetings, with the relevant stakeholders.
Communicate any risks or issues in relation to project implementation or the project timeline to the Operations Manager upon immediate identification.
Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary.
Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
Desired Skills and Experience Industry recognized Project Management certification such as Prince2 or PMP.
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
Minimum 2 years experience as project coordinator or in program/project support roles, working on ICT-related projects (e.g., Office365 product suite, end user compute, infrastructure/network upgrades/replacement).
Basic understanding of Current Key Business Technologies and concepts.
Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and any other relevant tools within reason.
