About Your Opportunity Working within the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group (IPCD), you will be responsible for coordinating external and internal project governance and assurance requirements across the IPCD program and project delivery portfolio.
Reporting to the Principal, Risk, Governance and Assurance this position will be responsible for working closely with other IPCD managers and other organisational subject matter experts (program controls, governance & assurance, contracts & commercial etc.)
in ensuring activities are coordinated professionally and efficiently and adhere to Seqwater and IPCD strategies, policies, and procedures.
The position will also collate and analyse project performance data, develop new processes and procedures and ensure that the IPCD Group follows best practice project management procedures.
Key responsibilities: Lead project audit and assurance activities and reporting within the Program/Project Delivery portfolio; ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead investigations and support lessons learned implementation to contribute to best practice and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement a robust project assurance strategy and program that aligns with organisational goals and the projects risk profile.
Facilitate external project audits, reviews and investigations within the Program/Project Delivery portfolio.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities across all IPCD projects and coordinate business improvement activities.
Lead Benefits Management workshops for IPCD projects.
Providing specialist skills and knowledge, in the development, review and implementation of training and induction material, policies and procedures, program/project reporting relevant to infrastructure planning and capital delivery projects.
About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Relevant Tertiary qualifications in quality assurance, risk, business studies, or in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years' Audit, Assurance, Quality management experience or related field.
Experience in written and oral communication with a range of stakeholders including Executives, Board and Government.
Experience in leading, mentoring, developing staff and motivating project support teams.
Experience in developing, reviewing, documenting and implementing processes and procedures.
Experience in coordination and administrative activities in a fast paced and structured work environment.
Sound knowledge and/or experience of the principles and processes involved in managing the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
Sound knowledge of contract management, quality assurance, environmental management and workplace health and safety management related to infrastructure projects.
This position has a salary range of $118,579 - $129,013 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is a fixed term contract until 26th June 2026.
