Project Commercial Manager
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and capable Project Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function of one of our exciting projects in WA. As the Project Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the overall commercial and risk management of the project you are aligned to, working directly with the project team, Project Manager, and in conjunction with the Business Unit Commercial Manager as an integral part of the project delivery.
The project is an exciting project in regional WA which has recently been awarded several awards for its delivery and community involvement. We are seeking applications from capable Project Commercial Managers and senior commercial persons who believe they are ready to take the next step in their career and manage the commercial function of a project. The role will be Perth based with regular travel to the project site in North-West Western Australia.

What you're good at:
You're one of the best. Someone with:

Previous experience within a sizeable Infrastructure or Civil Construction and building construction business.
Experience in delivering remote projects from either site or head office.
Proven negotiation experience in high value, commercial contracts.
Project financial management.
Demonstrated experience leading a project commercial function with direct reports.
Risk management skill that encompasses the development of commercial and risk profiles of complex projects.
Solid understanding of Procurement management and process.
Commercial acumen as it relates to effective Client and Subcontractor management, work planning and methodology, insurance risk, policies, and complex claims resolution.
Minimum 8 years' experience in similar roles in the building and construction industry.
Current experience working in Contracts Management in the Civil and or building construction industry.

What you'll do (but not limited to):

Manage all cost and contractual matters ensuring project costs, revenues, claims, and supplier agreements are administered.
Initiate, review, analyse plan and administer the closing of contracts.
Work with all parties to ensure the best possible Commercial outcome is achieved.
Maintain good working relationships with clients and subcontractors while negotiating and managing the head contract and subcontractors for the project.
Influence and lead others in the team to produce high quality project outcomes.
Ensure that delivered products comply with contract specifications by recording and reporting on any non-conformances.
Ensure that the project complies with Georgiou HSEQ systems, policies, standards and procedures.
