We are seeking a project architect / project manager with at least 6 years post-graduate experience in Australia, preferably within the high-end single and/or multi-residential sector to join our growing practice.
Key tasks and responsibilities Prepare high quality architectural and comprehensive documentation including sketch designs, DA applications, CDC applications, construction certificate documentation and contract documentation for tender and construction Management of 4-5 projects at any one time through a variety of stages Manage DA's through to Council approval including negotiation with key stakeholders Liaise and coordinate with clients, Council, consultants, builders and suppliers throughout the project stages Undertake the administration of projects during construction, including preparation of contracts, assessing progress claims and issuing progress certificates and preparing defects lists Administer project management in a timely and effective manner, within the agreed fee structure of each project Work collaboratively with and/or direct staff assigned to you for each project Take responsibility for the success of all projects you are managing Skills and experience Minimum 6 years local experience with an Architecture, Interior or Design Firm NSW Registered Architect for Project Architect Role Must have permanent working rights to work full-time in Australia Proficiency in ArchiCAD Version 23 or later is essential Experience using Twin Motion beneficial Thorough knowledge of Council planning controls, NCC (BCA) and Australian Standards Experience working on Class 2 Building projects is favourable but not essential Exceptional design and documentation skills Experience with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Suite essential Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Experience in undertaking detailed measure-ups Must have a valid Australian Driver's Licence, access to a car for site visits preferred Professional presentation Benefits and Perks Join a highly experienced and respected high-end architecture and interior design practice specialising in residential projects Become part of a collaborative and highly experienced team, while working semi-indepedently to manage a portfolio of projects Receive the very best training in the business of successful architecture Employment security in an established practice with a strong pipeline of work Regular staff events and workshops held throughout the year Attractive remuneration package and employee bonus scheme Apply To apply for this job, ensure you include the following:
