Be part of something more.A bit about the roleAs the Project and Administration Officer within our Cultural Venues business unit, you will provide efficient, effective, confidential administration and project support. You will also contribute to scheduling strategic work to be delivered by the Unit, and to track, monitor and report on progress.You will achieve the best possible outcomes for the team by liaising with Cultural Venues clientele, external consultants and contractors, and internal Council Departments to ensure optimum outcomes in project delivery.What you'll deliverProvide efficient, effective and confidential administrative support to the Team Leader and the unit.Under guidance, support the delivery and administration of a range of programs, staff training, workshops, network meetings and information presentations.Establish a weekly process to review and update the status of projects accordingly.Attend key meetings regarding the unit's projects to track and record key actions and work. Co-ordinate, research and prepare draft written and/or verbal responses to queries from key stakeholders.Provide high level document development and quality improvements in a range of formats and for multiple audiences, including presentations, Council reports and correspondence.Undertake project administration, including compiling and issuing tender specifications, agendas and minutes, and basic financial tasks such as processing purchase orders and invoices.What you'll bringTertiary qualifications in relevant discipline such as administration, with no relevant experience or lesser formal qualification with relevant skills and experience.Skills and experience in business operations for delivery of services including understanding of administrative systems and processes for managing finances.Experience developing guidelines and procedures for staff, training and development expertise is desirable.Demonstrated competency with IT systems for service delivery such as client databases, scheduling and finance systems.A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.What's next?If you think this role might be for you, we want to hear from you.
