Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Coordination: Oversee daily SMP (structural, mechanical, and piping) activities to ensure efficient and timely project execution. Supervise and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and in-house teams. Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, conducting daily briefings and hazard assessments. Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and use PPE. Report and assist with incident investigations as needed. Quality Control: Inspect and ensure work meets project specifications and high-quality standards. Identify and address defects or quality issues promptly. Resource Management: Allocate and manage labor, materials, and equipment for optimal project flow. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of resources. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site logs, progress reports, and safety documentation. Prepare handover materials, including as-built drawings and test reports. Subcontractor Management: Liaise with subcontractors to ensure adherence to timelines, quality, and safety standards. Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues. Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Address on-site challenges, including design deviations and unforeseen conditions. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop effective solutions. Requirements: Qualifications: Trade certification in Boilermaking or related field. Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in SMP projects within construction, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in SMP methodologies, engineering drawings, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM). Strong understanding of quality assurance and safety protocols. Skills: Leadership and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and teams. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
