In the role of Program Support Coordinator (RIS), you will ensure the high system information integrity standard expected as an output from the "A Road Management Information System" (ARMIS).
Meeting this challenge will require you to develop and maintain relevant knowledge and skills and keep abreast of developments in and requirements from the ARMIS database suite.
The position has day-to-day coordination for updating the information in the systems delegated to the position and preparing reports to meet business needs. The position predominantly works on the ARMIS databases.
Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Co-ordinate and facilitate the district-wide data collection, storage, distribution and auditing as necessary to ensure the integrity of the Department's ARMIS road management information system, in particular the Road Reference and Road Inventory sub-systems.
Establish and maintain links and coordinate consultation with management and team members to determine the business needs to be met from the technical and road information systems delegated to this position and liaise with designers, engineers, team members and other staff to ensure the most current information is accurately interpreted and entered into the system.
Coordinate the team to use road information interpretation skills and infrastructure asset knowledge to undertake site inspections to confirm data.
Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of training and support including associated documentation, to district and regional staff as necessary for the continued operation of the department's technical information systems.
Analyse and interpret technical, design and engineering documents/plans including As-constructed drawings to ensure high quality and current processes, information and systems are available.
Coordinate and facilitate the entry and validation of traffic information into the Traffic Analysis Reporting System (TARS) for the end of year closure and production of the District's Traffic Census.
Analyse, interpret and report on complex road information using a range of reporting tools (for example, complex system reports, spreadsheets, TOAD, charts and maps using Mapinfo, ARMIS, GIS and more).
