Job Overview: Our client is a leading Space and Defence Satellite Communications company, and they are seeking an experienced Program Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in System Engineering programs within the defence industry, particularly with AUSDEFCON experience.
You will play a pivotal role in establishing a PMO capability, engineering management, project delivery, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring the successful implementation of Defence communication systems.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the engagement of a key defence program and act as the primary point of contact.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring across our Australia engineering operations.
Engage directly with key stakeholders, and a network of engineering professionals and senior defence personnel.
Make technical decisions, as well as assessing design options and change proposals and leading the technical decision-making process.
Work collaboratively with the sub-contractors, technical experts and the design authority to ensure the design approach and status meets technical requirements.
Oversee the engineering, project planning, and implementation for satellite communications solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to align project activities with contract specifications and performance expectations.
Qualifications & Skills: Must be an Australian Citizen and have a AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in systems, electrical, or mechanical Engineering Demonstrated technical leadership in engineering projects.
Profound experience with Defence Satellite Communications.
Proven experience with AUSDEFCON guidelines, specifically in managing System Engineering programs in the Defence sector.
Strong experience engaging directly with Defence customers and stakeholders, adept at managing complex requirements and high-level communications.
Proficiency in MS Project with experience in CMS development Skilled in drafting and managing CDRLs, including creating comprehensive PMPs.
Willingness to work from the North Sydney office full-time, with availability to travel to customer sites in Melbourne and Canberra as required.
