Our client is embarking on a significant Program of Works to transition all ICT services from the current service provider to alternate supplier arrangements. They are seeking an experienced Program Manager to assist in this pivotal transition. This role offers the opportunity to work on various priority projects, engage in ideation development, and manage delivery. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with diverse internal and external business units, manage project registers, schedules, and budgets, and provide advice to ICT project managers and business units.
What you'll do:
As a Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in transitioning all ICT services from the current service provider to alternate supplier arrangements. You will be responsible for planning and managing program and project delivery, leading Project Managers to successfully deliver ICT projects, producing portfolio, program, and project artefacts. Your role will also involve producing Governance and Assurance artefacts, coordinating internal and external resources, liaising with various internal and external business units. You will maintain project registers, schedules, budgets/cost models while supporting ICT project managers.
Planning and managing program and project delivery
Leading and assisting Project Managers to successfully deliver ICT projects
Producing portfolio, program, and project artefacts
Producing Governance and Assurance artefacts
Quality assurance of documentation and monthly routine reporting
Coordinating internal and external resources
Liaising with various internal and external business units, their representatives, and subject matter experts
Maintaining project registers, schedules, and budgets/cost models
Supporting and providing advice to ICT project managers and business units
Procurement and recruitment activities.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Program Manager position brings several years of experience in managing complex ICT projects or programs from initiation to closure. You have applied formal project governance methodologies successfully in your previous roles. Your experience includes leading ICT teams and suppliers to deliver project outcomes. You have worked in large scale or Government organisations before. Your knowledge base includes Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or PRINCE2 methodologies. Experience in Project Delivery Office (PDO) or Project Management Office (PMO) management will be highly regarded.
Experience in managing complex ICT programs from initiation to closure
Experience in applying formal project governance and methodologies
Experience in leading ICT teams and suppliers to deliver project outcomes
Relevant experience in complex Government organisations
Knowledge of Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or PRINCE2 methodologies
Experience in Project Delivery Office (PDO) or Project Management Office (PMO) management
This role requires the candidate to be based in Brisbane and able to work from the office.
