Programmed are currently looking for a Program Leader to join their team and work at a large recreational client, that hosts various activities for schools and groups. Daily DutiesAssess environmental conditionsAssess the risks in the area an activity will take placeSet up and pack down of program delivery equipmentPerform daily safety checks of program delivery equipmentCoordinate and deliver a wide variety of programs to consumer outcomesManage participants safety and wellbeing in a fun and inclusive environmentSupport participants through a variety of perceived and actual barriers or risks associated with participating in activities. (Mental, physical and environmental)Report hazards, incidents or near misses in the departments hazard registerReport faulty or damaged equipment to senior staffProvide leadership and support to OO3 and contractors to achieve activity delivery outcomesProvide basic first aid as requiredLog daily activities in reporting administrative toolsWeekly DutiesComplete personal log books of activities deliveredComplete personal time sheetsLead and/or perform weekly program maintenance tasks, reporting or repairs as requiredProvide group/site inductions to visiting group leaders and participants as requiredDelivery weekend and night activities as operationally requiredOther DutiesMaintain activity specific proficienciesPerform interim maintenanceCo-manage Coast Club (school holiday) activities, managing groups and activities onsiteProvide operational support to the operations team as required (maintenance work related to facilities and gardens)Assist in the program delivery Verification of Competency (VOC) and Recognition of Competency (ROC) processesPurchase program activity equipmentWhat we are looking for:Certificate 3 or higher / equivalent in Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Leadership with the below electives is highly beneficialhigh ropes, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, SUP, Archery, low ropes, surfingPrevious experience in a similar role (tourism, recreation and hospitality industries)Positive Blue card - mandatory or willingness to obtain for startingCurrent first aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain for startingCurrent drivers licenceAvailability for all operational hours (Monday - Sunday)If you think you're suited to this role, please click on APPLY and upload an updated resume and a two page cover letter demonstrating why you're suitable.
