Program Director

Job Overview
The Program Director is responsible for the success and quality of the program, members, staff, and school partnership within the school and community. The Program Director manages the day-to-day operations of an OST (Out of School Time) program. The Program Director works with the Program Manager to ensure all funding requirements are met and quality programming is offered to all members. The candidate will ensure their assigned Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens' program is a safe space where children can reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. It is expected that the Program Director will conduct themselves in a professional manner and always maintain appropriate boundaries.
Skills Bachelor's degree required (preference in Education or Social Work).Must have at least 2 years of director experience.Must have at least 7 years' experience managing staff.At least 3 years' experience working in After School and implementing lessons.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff, school, members, and community partners.Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, applying tact and discretion as situations demand.Must have excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills.Responsible and professional conduct that serves as a role model to staff and youth.Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Vacation, Sick, 403b, NY 529, Pet Insurance, Cellphone discounts
