St Malo Bakery is an award-winning wholesale bakery based in Sydney, renowned for crafting artisan breads and pastries for some of the best burger joints, cafes, pubs, clubs, hotels, and restaurants across Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle and surrounding areas.

In the Role as a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Enhancing the day-to-day efficiency across the BakeryManaging all aspects of the wholesale production ensuring a consistently high standard of all productsEnsuring all HACCP procedures and policies are followed and maintainedSupervising and leading a team of 15-20 skilled professionals and process workersRostering, overseeing leave requests and other HR functionsApplying problem-solving expertise in a handmade and automated equipment environmentChampioning a culture of positivity, safety and quality through training, setting high standards, and leading by exampleSetting up and maintaining process flows and additional processes for the teamMentoring, coaching, and training operational staff to ensure clear understanding and consistent accountabilityCollaborating with the General Manager and Operations Manager to swiftly identify and rectify quality issuesGenerating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs)Promptly reporting any major malfunctions of plant and equipment to the Operations ManagerMaintaining impeccable housekeeping standardsTaking a proactive approach to drive efficiency improvementsStrategic planning and execution for wholesale productionControlling food and labour costsSeeking ways to eliminate wastageMaintaining an open channel of communication with the owners and managers of the businessMaintaining a healthy, clean and safe working environmentCarring out stock rotation on FIFO basisManaging the team cleaning and maintaining all bakery equipmentTo excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: Previous experience in Food Manufacturing in FMCG, Medium to large Bakery and/or large-scale catering/hospitalityWillingness to work week day and weekend shiftsHands-on with an enthusiastic and positive attitudeExceptional communication skillsDemonstrated versatility, adaptability, and a strong sense of enthusiasmThe ability to meet deadlines and achieve production targets consistentlyA self-motivated and autonomous work ethic, coupled with a strong team spiritExperience with HACCP and WHSAbility to use Excel and DeputyApplicants must have full work rights in Australia to applyYou love food and the world of bakery and are meticulous about quality, always looking at ways to improve the processes for better quality outcomes.
