Operating in the Byron Shire for over 40 years, we are the original good food shop supporting our community with organic wholefoods and conscious shopping options, creating a positive impact on the health of our community and the environment.
Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and committed Store Manager to lead the retail & hospitality team at our store in the Byron Arts & Industrial Estate. The role is 4 -5 days per week, although some weekends may be required.
You will enjoy providing distinctive customer service, sharing your product knowledge, leading a team and achieving the store's targets.
As our Store Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Building friendly and professional relationships with your team to make a difference to the workplace environment and our customers' experience Making thoughtful and strategic decisions across all aspects of the store that reflect our mission, vision, values and ethics Supporting the use of performance management strategies to support others and initiate change Fostering teamwork within your team to ensure effective systems, efficient processes and positive team morale Ensuring that all products made and/or sold are of the highest quality and freshness Effective ordering of inventory Arranging and maintaining merchandise on display, ensuring labelling is clear and correct Following at all times WH&S and Food Safety standards and legislation Rostering management Organising and maintaining the cleanliness of the store and/or department Implementing and monitoring all systems and procedures to reduce security issues, primarily in-store theft Conducting stocktakes while ensuring inventory controls are managed, including loss prevention Working towards achieving budget and targets set for your store To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, knowledge and attributes: A minimum of five years experience leading a retail store (or other relevant business) of $5 million or more in sales turnover Confident and competent with business acumen Experience in: IDeal POS (or other POS systems), Microsoft Office, Google Drive and Trello Confident in completing strategic rosters to ebb and flow with sales to achieve labour targets Great with customer service, strong in sales, passionate about training their team and performance management Experience in stock ordering and receiving, controlling stock levels, stock loss, and merchandising Experience working with store budgets and margins *Please note in this role you will be on your feet for extended periods of time, must be able to lift weight above 15kgs and climb ladders regularly.
