In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Traction Division in Maryborough. Main stakeholders are the Traction teams in Australia and Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for: • Establishing the converter production line in Maryborough. In collaboration with the global operations team, lead the execution of technology/production transfer projects and production ramp-up project, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer from the transferring unit (sending site) to the receiving site production. • Overseeing the converter production process, ensuring it runs smoothly and according to schedule. • Maintaining planning parameters in the ERP (SAP) and planning systems, creating Work Orders, and executing daily Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to manage production requirements and meet delivery schedules. • Optimizing productivity by identifying process improvements and efficiently managing resources.
Qualifications for the role Experience managing a technical team, with the ability to get hands-on if required. Experience with electrical/electronic assembly, manufacturing and testing is highly desirable, and engineering qualifications are preferred. A demonstrated commitment to HSEQ principles is mandatory. ABB values the health and safety of our workforce and the community. Resource Management and Capacity Planning experience is highly desirable. ABB uses SAP and there will be a need to use SAP for certain aspects of the role.. A "Can Do" attitude, ability to troubleshoot, flexibility, and a bias towards positive action are necessary attributes.
