QBuild is expanding! Join us as a Procurement Manager, also commonly known as a Contract Manager, where you'll lead our Statewide Operation's Regional procurement team to deliver targeted value and customer satisfaction through specific procurement and business improvement initiatives.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About The RoleYou will play a pivotal role in strengthening Queensland's building and construction industry by collaborating with the Regional Director and Procurement team. You will foster responsibility and accountability for end-to-end procurement, focusing on a wide range of customer and supplier relationships and value management, both internal and external. This role will play an integral part of Central Queensland's regional procurement activities by translating QBuild's goals into strategic decisions that enhance value and financial performance.
Duties And Skills InvolvedCollaborate with the Regional Director and procurement team to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by fostering responsibility and accountability for end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing.Ensure the effective planning and integration of Central Queensland's regional procurement activities into QBuild's business model, aligning procurement efforts with organisational goals.Translate QBuild's service delivery objectives into strategic procurement decisions that enhance value, drive efficiencies, and improve financial performance.Promote a culture of continuous improvement within procurement processes to optimise value, minimise inefficiencies, and enhance overall performance.Provide high-level advice and support to stakeholders on procurement and contract management within a specified category portfolio, ensuring best practices and compliance.Preferred Skills And ExperienceProven ability to successfully manage effective procurement and category management processes and practices in a complex and diverse organisation.A sound knowledge in construction procurement will be highly desired.Additional RequirementsPossession of at least Queensland PCP Level 1 Procurement Fundamentals Training from a recognized institution.How do I apply?All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
