Full time$91,702 - $104,753 (APS 6) + 10% BDCP and SuperAviation C4ISREW & Training Support Systems (ACTSS) is seeking a Procurement Manager to work as part of a highly motivated team to deliver complex procurement and contracting solutions within an integrated workforce, with the focus on procurement.
In this role, they are accountable to ensure they conduct procurement that is compliant with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.Their role will be to work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures that are appropriate to the scale of the procurement activity.
Stakeholder engagement is a critical aspect of this role, which involves interacting with stakeholders to discuss complex issues.
They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.The successful candidate will be responsible for a subordinate and contribute to the strategic planning and project management of ACTSS.Tasks include, but are not limited to:Conduct procurement activities in support of ACTSS Capability support requirements and manage those activities to meet deadlines within the stated financial terms.Coordinate and provide procurement policy advice, assistance, products and services to facilitate risk management, ethics and probity.Apply knowledge to deliver procurement policy related products and services relating to the procurement lifecycle.Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders relating to the Commonwealth Procurement Framework to manage procurement risks and achieve value for money.Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and actively participate in teamwork and group activities to deliver agreed outcomes.Take the initiative to identify impacts of changes to relevant Commonwealth procurement policies and recommend potential improvements to procurement practices.Interpret, recommend and provide advice and assistance on procurement policy and identify alternative courses of action where appropriate.About our TeamThe Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers.
AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.
