About the Role Based at our Area C mine site you'll be working on and 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth (days only). This is a dynamic role which will provide you a breadth of variability on a day-to-day basis and challenge you from a technical, project/contract management, coordination, and execution perspective all while leading a team.
This is an excellent opportunity to think and act differently while we look to deliver a sustainable solution to improve the working conditions for everyone in the processing area and reduce unsealed road dust emissions at Mining Area C.
In this role you will lead, coach and mentor employees, ensure a safe system of work is in place for each activity. As a S26 Statutory Supervisor, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations.
Reporting to the Superintendent Production Processing Services, your duties will include:

Supervision of Processing Services Technicians, Fixed Plant and Mining Equipment Training Specialists Manage planned work and unplanned requests to ensure all unsealed roads, car parks, and laydown yards are in good working condition Develop, coordinate and monitor procedural systems and training processes in accordance with company and legislative requirements Supervision of specialist contractors to ensure technical and quality standards are achieved safely. Single point of accountability at work areas ensuring hazard/risk identification, reviewing and signing Task Based Risk Assessments (JHA) and verification that identified controls are in place and working. Completion of supporting and reporting documentation and 1SAP administration. Identify & implement improvement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in collaboration with team Support Leadership in managing Processing, Fixed Plant Maintenance and Mining Equipment Maintenance training enquiries, processing, reporting and delivery About You If you're an inquisitive, team-spirited and outcome focused individual who is passionate about safety and have the ability to build great relationships within our diverse team, then this is the next role for you!

You will be a proactive, credible and influential member of the leadership team whilst building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Our successful candidate will need to be suitably qualified in order to manage all aspects of the departments' deliverables and supervisor core routines.
Experience and skills required include:
Be first & foremost focused on creating a culture of care, being a visible safety leader, engaging & supporting the Processing Services team, customers, and stakeholders A background in leading a team in a frontline supervisory capacity; ideally in the mining industry Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment highly desirable Demonstrate managing multiple conflicting priorities and strong decision-making skills to achieve the best outcome for teams and production in the short and long term; Collaborative relationship building and negotiation skills in order to engage others and work on accountability; Sound computer literacy with exposure to interpreting metrics to drive optimal production behaviours Working knowledge of the current skills packages required for the mining industry or have an understanding of national training packages Experience using Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Learning Management Systems (Success Factors) will be advantageous, but not essential.
