About the Client
Located in Helidon, our client produces and supplies explosives and blasting systems for the mining industry. As expected, safety is of the utmost importance and forms part of the expert training that will be provided on a day shift. Upon completion of training, you will move to a fortnightly, 7-day rotating roster.
About the Process Worker role
Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment operating machinery is an advantage. However, if you have great hand-eye coordination, can work at a fast pace, and are safety conscious, then you may be considered for this role.
In addition: Are reliable and respectful towards others Demonstrate a positive and motivated work ethic Attention to detail is a must with a high level of accuracy Be willing to learn and be trained for success Mechanical aptitude is an advantage Must be able to display a high level of dexterity Must be able to obtain an Explosives Licence including a high level Police Clearance Have a reliable car and current driver's licence. About the role: This role will focus on running the EBS machine and associated workstations Set up and operate equipment in accordance with work instructions & procedures Loading coiled wire onto machinery Crimping of detonators onto wire assembly Packing assembled product into boxes in required formats Quality & inspections and recording Perform basic mathematical equations and basic report writing Ensure all operations are performed to procedures and WHS and environmental requirements Benefits: Above award hourly rate Opportunity to go from casual to permanent Ongoing and extensive training opportunities Extremely safe working environment.
