Experience: Candidate required to have min 3 years experience working in lab.Must have at least a bachelor's degree in science/chemistry.Will be going to office/laboratory every day.Location: Castrol laboratory in Spotswood2 stage interviewsWorking arrangement will be 100% onsite.Immediate starters needed.Key Skills: Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret results.Effective communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Well organised and motivated self-starter.Able to work with minimal supervision.Works well under high pressure situations.Must display a high degree of flexibility.Strong team player with the ability to relate to all levels in the work environment.A proactive approach to problem solving and an ability to apply such skills to solve production and quality related problems.Role Overview: Ensure that Raw Materials (additives and base oils) and lubricants manufactured and warehoused by the Facility are tested to the required technical specifications, GMP requirements, and Quality Standards by effective utilization of current quality procedures and practices in accordance with the Quality, Environmental and Technical Management Systems.Testing and analysis of raw materials, finished oils, greases, and specialty products (as applicable) using available testing equipment to achieve the specified level of quality control.Products tested in a timely and cost efficient manner.Ensure non-conforming products are not released to the marketplace.Provide customers with C of A as required for manufactured and imported products.Liaise with production to help overcome production related problems that may impact on product quality.Provide advice to production supervisors on blend and filling sequencing to maximise plant efficiency and minimise rework.Provide technical advice to Blending, Filling and Warehouse Operators.Exercise delegated authority to stop production to correct quality problems.Assist in maintaining the Quality, Environmental and Technical systems.Managing the appropriate document control so that quality records are controlled, maintained, and easily retrieved.Ensuring that laboratory equipment is calibrated in accordance with appropriate standards so that the accuracy of test results is guaranteed.Support Environmental initiatives.Maintain Work Instructions for all Laboratory processes.Testing samples relating to customer complaints and reporting test results.Provide advice to the warehouse and production teams on technical queries to ensure that the end customers' best interests are met.Update and modify existing documentation in line with company requirements.Develop new skills during busy transition period and special projects capital modifications.If you meet the above criteria, please click APPLY NOW.
