The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Prison Supervisor - Intelligence Unit to provide a critical role at H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal About the Business Unit Corrections Victoria Intelligence Service (CVIS) is the overarching intelligence service for Corrections Victoria and its stakeholders, and forms part of the Security and Emergency Services Group, which is located at the Metropolitan Remand Centre. Presently, the CVIS comprises the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU) and intelligence officers located at the twelve public and two private prison facilities in Victoria. About the Role H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal is a minimum-security men's protection prison located 140klm west of Melbourne at Trawalla. The prison's primary purpose is the reintegration and preparedness of offenders for transition to release. As a Supervisor PIU, you supervise and assist in, the collection, collation, recording and analysis of particular information available to the prison intelligence unit, and develop this information for presentation to management, and for distribution to authorised persons/external agencies. It is a requirement of this position to work weekends and public holidays, which will be remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the Enterprise Agreement Some of your duties will include: Supervise and assist in the collection, collation, recording, and assessment of information from all available prison sources, and disseminate intelligence product to authorised parties in a timely manner Supervise the prison Intelligence Analyst in collating and analysing all available information and dissemination of intelligence product to authorised parties in a timely manner. Assist prison management, staff and external agencies by participating in intelligence led prison operations.
