TRANSFORM WASTE INTO OPPORTUNITY - CHAMPIONINNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY AT TOOWOOMBA REGIONALCOUNCIL About You As the Principal Waste Facilities, you will drive the managementand operation of Toowoomba Regional Council's waste facilities.Your role will be pivotal in overseeing extensive projects andprograms, particularly focusing on transitioning waste operationsfrom a small landfill approach to an integrated logistics network.This involves optimizing material movement, maximizing resources,ensuring safety and environmental compliance, enhancing customerservice, promoting resource recovery, and maintaining operationalefficiency.
The Waste Services Branch Toowoomba Regional Council's Waste Services Branch is committedto leading the region in sustainable waste management and resourcerecovery initiatives. We champion environmental stewardship whilesupporting community engagement and economic growth.
About the Position This is a permanent full-time role based at the renowned GreaterToowoomba Waste Management Facility, offering:

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree inEngineering (Civil or Environmental), Environmental Health,Logistics, or a related field from a recognized university.Alternatively, extensive relevant experience and expertise inwaste management operations.Desirable Qualifications: Post Graduatequalifications in management, project management, finance, orrelated fields.Licenses and Certifications: Current'C' Class Driver's Licence and WH&SCompetency Card for CPCCWHS1001.Experience: Extensive experience inmanaging multidisciplinary teams and integrated facilitynetworks, including civil, transport, and customer serviceoperations.Skills: Strong procurement, projectmanagement, and contract management skills with a provenability to comply with legislative requirements and managefinancial systems relevant to facility operations.How to Apply For a detailed description of the position and its requirements,please download the Position Description .
