Queensland's hospital system is facing greater demand and pressure than ever before. This is driven by our growing and ageing population, and compounded by pressures on primary, aged and disability care. To help address this, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen. The program includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds in the next five years. Working in HIQ, you will forge a new sustainable delivery model and contribute to the delivery of projects that ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders – what could be more rewarding than that?
The Principal Technical Advisor as part of the Program Performance, Reporting & Analysis Team, provides high level analysis of data collection, business intelligence systems and reporting solutions for Health Infrastructure Queensland.
Reporting to the Manager of Reporting and Analysis, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of a range of high-quality fit for purpose business intelligence solutions, including potential data collection solutions, reports, and dashboards on an ongoing basis.
You will also support the broader needs of the Department, Health Infrastructure Queensland and Hospital and Health Services through administration, management, advice, training and documentation of capital project information management and reporting systems, workflows and processes.
The successful personTo be successful in the role, you will have highly developed and demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of health infrastructure and government systems will be well regarded, along with a relevant qualification in ICT or data science. A positive attitude and conflict resolution skills are essential to this role, as is the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
