Principal - Talent and Strategic PlanningLocation: Perth Children's Hospital & Perth CBDUnit/Division: CAHS People, Capability and Culture - Organisational DevelopmentWork Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part TimeThis is a fixed term (12 months) full time position; part time options may also be considered.VCID No. 932081Position Profile and Role:Join us and help shape the future of our workforce at the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS). As Principal, Talent and Strategic Planning you will lead the analysis and development of workforce strategies that ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time and meet the evolving healthcare needs of Western Australia's children and young people.This 12-month project will focus on building the sustainability of the CAHS' medical workforce. You will leverage data and collaborate with our leadership teams to understand challenges across our medical professional groups (Junior Doctors, Senior Doctors), fostering an environment that values innovation and supports professional growth.Your expertise in strategic workforce planning, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management will be crucial in identifying current and future workforce needs, mitigating risks, and enhancing talent attraction, retention, and development initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating CAHS workforce business objectives.Developing and executing workforce plans across all departments within the CAHS medical workforce.Analysing and interpreting workforce trends to identify issues and risks and provide actionable insights.Prepare high-level briefings, discussion papers, and ministerial advice related to workforce planning to provide timely advice and information to executive and key stakeholders.Researching and analysing state, national, and international trends, to inform our strategies and contribute to CAHS's contemporary knowledge base.Coordinate and project manage, monitor and evaluate progress workforce-related activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.The ideal candidate will have proven experience in strategic workforce planning or organisational development with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.Project management experience with a track record of successfully leading organisational initiatives will be highly regarded.About the CAHS Organisational Development Team:At the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) we know our culture and our people are key to providing exceptional services to the young patients in our care, and to their families and carers.The Organisational Development team play a vital role in building organisational capability, ensuring workforce sustainability, shaping culture, and enhancing employee experience and performance.
