We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced
Principal Structural Engineers
to join our growing team.Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will be responsible for the design, specification and provision of engineering services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, composites, other engineered products, or shaped natural landforms, including for buildings, platforms, bridges, wharves, retention and drainage structures, pipe racks and similar infrastructure.In this role you will:Participate in planning, scheduling, and conducting work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection and minor adaptation of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior engineers and drafters.Support Adelaide based projects and assist other KBR locations.Work closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil, and other engineers in the delivery of projects and proposals for a range of clients and infrastructure types.Take part in the management of small projects and proposals or work packages on a larger project.Undertake other reasonable duties in line with the requirements of this role.As the ideal applicant you will have:Experience in the practice of the discipline of structural engineering.The ability to prepare and self-check design calculations using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications such as LUSAS, Microstran, or ANSYS.Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications.Proficiency in delivering work according to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.The ability to liaise with peers, subordinates, and clients.The ability to work independently and within a team to deliver project documentation requirements within a multi-disciplinary project according to budget, schedule, and quality requirement.A practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety and comply with safety, environmental, quality controls and relevant review and approval processes.What do KBR offer?We are committed to social and environmental sustainability and delivering projects with a digital mindset that drives innovation within our business, for our customers and stakeholders.Our people blend seamlessly into customer teams to help create a positive impact on the communities and environments they seek to improve.
