Position status: PermanentPosition type: Full-timeOccupational group: HR & Industrial RelationsClassification: AO7Workplace Location: Brisbane Inner City, Cairns region, FlexibleThe opportunityAs our Principal Project Officer (Inquiry & Treaty) - Identified:

Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to drive the response on behalf of the department to the Truth-telling and Healing inquiry.Develop and/or contribute to written correspondence, including briefing notes and submissions that relate to the department's Treaty readiness and relevant matters.Manage complex workloads to meet deadlines and commitments in tight timeframes.Apply project management principles to design, deliver and evaluate project outcomes.

This role is part of a team of five who may work in varied locations across the state.Entitlements will vary based on your location and you may be entitled to the following:Locality allowance5 weeks recreation leaveWhat we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)There are some attributes and experience we see as desirable to this role:

Knowledge and/or experience of the Queensland Government's Path to Treaty commitment, including the Truth-telling and Healing Inquiry (Inquiry).Knowledge and understanding of the impacts of colonisation of Queensland's first peoples to lead the department's responses to the Inquiry and Treaty preparedness.The ability to navigate ambiguity, influence change, and deliver outcomes, especially when faced with obstacles.Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate this into practical advice and action.This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified role.
