The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer to join the Assessment Services Unit, which is part of the QCAA's Curriculum Services Division. The Assessment Services Unit works with the External Assessment Implementation Unit to project manage the writing, quality assurance, implementation, and marking of Year 12 external assessment. The Principal Project Officers in these units work with other officers in the Curriculum Services Division and the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Systems Division on a range of projects which span these processes.
In the Principal Project Officer role, you will:
provide expert advice to stakeholders including Managers and Directors in the Curriculum Services Division and the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Division on matters related to external assessment marking and administrationlead teams to develop the suite of materials required for external assessment for each General senior syllabus and common internal assessments for Essential Applied senior syllabuseslead and participate in teams to develop professional learning and development resources responsive to the needs of Queensland teachers in accordance with current research pertaining to high quality external assessment development and administrationlead teams responsible for quality-assurance processes to support state-wide implementation of external assessmentdesign and present training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials for internal QCAA staff and other key stakeholders to support external assessment and associated activitiesmanage and deliver business priorities within designated timelines and using allocated resourcesliaise with Principal Education Officers, Learning Area Managers and external stakeholders to enact efficient marking operations, data collection and analysis, and marker intervention as requiredcreate and maintain professional relationships between the QCAA and key stakeholdersliaise with government and non-government educational organisations on assigned projectsprepare briefings, correspondence and reportscontribute to a change management and performance development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with managers and colleagues, and through the implementation of an individual Performance and Development Plan (PDP)What we are looking forThe QCAA is committed to selecting the person best suited to the role and to furthering equity and diversity.
