This position will support the implementation of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission's (QBCC's) Strategic Portfolio Management Capability Uplift project. Primary responsibilities will include the development of QBCC's Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Framework, related business processes, engagement, and tools. You will also have the chance to refine your skills in stakeholder engagement, change management, and project management techniques.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development of the QBCC's Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Framework, related business processes, and tools.Support the delivery of the QBCC's Strategic Portfolio Management Capability Uplift project which includes the establishment of a new EPMO and related activities (people and processes workstreams).Develop and maintain relationships with internal business units to support the development, testing, and implementation of project management products and services.Advise the business on best practices as it relates to Portfolio, Program, and Project Management at the QBCC.Undertake analysis of project requirements and liaise and collaborate across the project team and with internal business stakeholders. Review, analyze, and provide feedback as required to ensure technical accuracy and consistency with agreed project strategies.Prepare a range of operational documentation including plans, briefing papers, submissions, and reports as required by the Project Manager and to support the project team in meeting deadlines and critical milestones.Monitor project health including risks and issues and report back to the Project Manager with strategic advice and recommendations.Candidate AttributesDemonstrated experience in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management.Demonstrated experience writing and guiding new project, program, or portfolio management processes.Ideally, candidates will have one or more certifications in a Project Management framework (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, MoP, Waterfall, or PMBOK).Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate in a way that is appropriate for the situation, promoting trust, respect, and integrity.Refined research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, identifying and responding to issues with fit-for-purpose recommendations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of stakeholders.How to Apply To apply for this opportunity, please submit your resume and a statement of suitability (maximum of 2 pages) outlining your skills and experience relevant to this role.
