As The Principal Policy Officer, You Will Provide Strategic And Policy Leadership, Working To Address Complex Challenges Within Queensland's Innovation Sector. You Will Bring a Proactive And Collaborative Approach To Your Work, Building Strong Relationships With Stakeholders And Translating Complex Issues Into Clear, Evidencebased Policy Recommendations. You Will
Develop and administer programs: Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a range of initiatives and actions aimed at creating high-value jobs and driving positive economic outcomes. Policy research and development: Identify emerging issues and conduct thorough research and analysis to inform the development of evidence-based policy solutions. Use your findings to provide high-quality advice to senior management.
Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate the Government's innovation policy priorities, programs, and strategic direction. Build and maintain productive relationships across the innovation ecosystem.
Prepare high-level documents: Lead or contribute to the preparation of Cabinet submissions, policy documents, reports, plans, briefing notes, and other strategic correspondence, ensuring high-quality and timely responses.
Foster collaboration and innovation: Facilitate constructive dialogue with stakeholders to grow Queensland's innovation ecosystem, identifying opportunities for collaboration and development across priority industry sectors.
Represent the department: Act as a key representative of the department at industry events, meetings, and working groups, presenting a professional image and providing informed contributions.
Contribute to team success: Play an active role in fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, where all members are empowered to succeed. Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to junior team members.
Champion diversity: Actively promote the interests of First Nations people and support initiatives that contribute to better outcomes for Indigenous communities. Encourage diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the workplace.
