How will you develop, implement and deliver statewide, strategic workforce management initiatives?
Imagine designing the QAS HR policy management framework to meet required organisational outcomes.
Bring your capability to develop partnerships with key internal management stakeholders and drive contemporary and best practice workforce management outcomes.
Partner with the Workforce Performance team which is focused on early intervention and resolution of complex workforce management matters and the development of regional capability in all areas of workforce management.
The QAS provides timely, quality and patient focused ambulance services including pre-hospital patient care and related services across Queensland. The QAS delivers sustainable, adaptive and responsive contemporary health care to Queensland. You will develop, implement and deliver statewide, strategic workforce management initiatives and contribute to the design of the HR policy management framework.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will be responsible for developing partnerships with key stakeholders, and building regional capability.
Develop and implement the QAS HR policy framework.
Comply with legislative and industrial obligations.
Implement complex HR projects, change management initiatives and 'best practice' QAS workforce management principles.
Improve management capability across the QAS.
Collaborate with key management stakeholders.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Demonstrated expertise in understanding, interpreting, and advising on employment frameworks (including legislation, awards, agreements etc.) that enables the development and implementation of quality HR policies across the organisation, to manage risk, support effective decision-making, and ensure contemporary workforce management practices.
Demonstrated experience in providing high level strategic and tactical advice to all levels of management relating to a wide range of workforce management issues including, but not limited to: change management, project management, and employment relations.
Demonstrated highly developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills in order to work autonomously to provide quality advice and solutions to complex workforce issues, both on a Statewide and local basis.
Proven high level ability to build productive relationships and liaise, advise, and negotiate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve expected organisational outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence through verbal and written material, ensuring a professional, high-quality standard is maintained at all times, with the ability to develop and deliver workforce development activities designed to improve capability and outcomes.

The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
Whilst not mandatory, possession of relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in human resource management will be highly regarded.
