Principal Health Clinician

Join the Queensland Police Service in the Ethical Standards Command where you will positively impact the lives of sworn officers and community members impacted by the behaviour of police (including those involved in critical policing incidents) through evidence-based and trauma-informed care. You will be required to provide high level clinical assessment and case management, working in a small team to ensure achievement of operational outcomes.
As part of this role, you will draw upon your clinical skills, knowledge, and contemporary practice to provide trauma-informed care and case management to both internal and external clients.
Role Requirements include:Mandatory: At least 5 years demonstrated experience working therapeutically in a health, human services and/or justice environment supporting victim-survivors of domestic and family violence, grief, loss and bereavement, trauma, and crisis intervention.Current registration with a relevant professional body.Possession of a "C" Class Driver's Licence as travel for official business is a requirement of the role.Qualification: Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Social Science, Social Work, or Counselling (or a related mental health and/or human services field) from a recognised tertiary institution.A postgraduate qualification in any of the above will be highly regarded.Understanding of medico-legal processes would be advantageous.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association (e.g. AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA).Please refer to the Position Description (available in the link below) for the key accountabilities and additional role requirements.
