About the RoleThis is an opportunity to join the Group Operational Performance Team at BHP, where you will accelerate the highest impact operational performance opportunities through identification and replication of technical best practices across global mining operations with a specific focus on our operational bottlenecks, load & haul and copper concentrating. Reporting to the Head of Group Operational Performance, you will:
Deliver targeted analysis and observation to support benchmark performance through the bottlenecks in our value chain (short term focus on Load and Haul, Copper Concentrating).Integrate technical elements of equipment, systems, and processes to optimise performance.Contribute broadly to best practice replication across our operations.Coach and develop capability in operational teams through global value chain forums and other engagements.You'll be working closely with a fantastic team of passionate professionals and further supported by our Operational Performance Insights team and a network of Asset and Functional partners.

We value our relationship with our customers (operations globally) and provide trusted insights to both senior decision makers and the front line of our operations, so attention to detail is key, and we love people that can bring an insatiable curiosity to understanding and resolving problems and have demonstrated this in the past. This role requires the ability to engage everywhere from a crib hut to a virtual senior leader forum.
You will ideally have experience working in operations leadership, planning, strategy or performance improvement divisions of a resources or industrial company, or relevant experience from a top consulting firm.

Location In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in our corporate office in either Perth or Brisbane. You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster while a Flexi work arrangement is also offered.
