The Principal Funding Officer will assist the team to achieve their objectives to effectively manage funding and grant allocations, as well as the commissioning of services, to organisations which support vulnerable communities and individuals. We achieve this through engaging with critical stakeholders from the domestic and family violence, legal assistance and community sectors. Another critical component of our work is extensive stakeholder management including with the Commonwealth Government to ensure the State fulfils its obligations under national partnership agreements. We also develop investment options which are aligned to key policy priorities and deliver on strategic outcomes related to domestic, family and sexual violence outcomes, legal assistance and the Queensland Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Your key responsibilitiesLead, manage and coordinate financial management activities to support successful administration of complex funding to service providers across Queensland.Prepare financial documents including monthly and annual reporting, budget preparation, proposal costings, budget maintenance and month-end financial activities.Research and contribute to a wide range of written materials, including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing materials and financial reports.Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.Provide high-level support to the Director, Manager and broader team on financial performance, through establishing and implementing key financial controls and risk mitigation strategies. Provide expert analysis and advice regarding all areas of reporting for internal and external financial and management accounting as it relates to operations, including monthly, quarterly and end of year financial reporting.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
