About the Role As the Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will provide specialist advice and execute tasks to deliver safe and simple Control System standards that improve reliability and production outcomes. This role will be based in Brisbane!

In this role you will:Play a principal role in the review and development of control systems standards.Govern and maintain the Control Systems Blueprint elements (including standards, specifications, drawings, processes and systems) to reflect approved modifications.Working with various vendors and BHP teams to help define and deliver Control Systems aligned with the Technology Control System Strategy.Provide leading control system engineering technical expertise to assist with Site/Asset and Functional managed projects that are associated with Control Systems.Demonstrating an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development and technical regulatory compliance.Ability to work independently and build relationships with people at all levels of the business.Utilize your SCADA and PLC experience to help deliver strategic and standardized outcomes.Use your Functional Safety experience to help develop standards.About You

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering or equivalent.Functional Safety qualifications (i.e. TUV Certified Engineer) will be highly regarded.Registered as a Professional Engineer of Queensland will be advantageous.Have good knowledge of various other hardware and software technologies such as encoders, 3D Laser Scanning systems, etc.Strong experience with vendor and contract management practices & processes.About Our Process
