We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stocken, a category C Prison located in Rutland.
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
The site currently offers a Monday-Friday 07:30-17:30 or 07:30-18:30
Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holidays 08:30-17:30
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary.
You will:
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients.Undertake reception screening.Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Current professional qualification NMC.Evidence of Continued Professional Development.Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.Excellent communication skills.Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards.Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
