About the role We are currently recruiting a Powerline Worker to join our Assets and Operations Team based from Goondiwindi.
As a Powerline Worker, you will be responsible for the general construction, installation, connection, maintenance and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution network assets and equipment.
In this role you will join a supportive and appreciative team in a role that works acorss Essential Energy's entire corporate and network businesses.
Some other key responsibilities of the Powerline Worker role include: Undertake switching and access permit operations associated with both HV and LV systems as directed.
Provide inspection, testing and reporting of network assets as required.
Undertake installation and connection of services, meters and related equipment Implement and work according to company required procedures and processes About you You will have a collaborative approach and understand the importance of working side by side with colleagues and customers.
You will positively contribute to the community and stakeholders, putting safety at the forefront of everything you do.
What Essential Energy needs from you: Previous experience in the energy distribution environment.
Experience working effectively during times of both planned and unplanned events Ability to work closely with others in a team environment Basic Computer skills appropriate for the role Required Qualifications Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
Drivers licence WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.
