Povey Stirk commenced operating in April 1999 as a merger of established Alice Springs legal practices, Poveys and McBride & Stirk. The firm traces its roots back to the mid-1960s in Alice Springs, and over years of service, has established an extensive client base in Central Australia.

Additionally, it has a large base of individuals and families to whom it provides ongoing legal assistance in family matters such as divorce, custody, property settlements, wills and estates.
