Lead our team that supports a workforce of 120 across a diverse range of services from road construction and maintenance to early childhood education and care, waste management, bushcare, primary healthcare, and youth services.

Key Responsibilities Work with our Executive Management Team to lead and manage processes to define, develop and enhance our corporate values and culture.Lead, manage and review initiatives to drive employee engagement and to communicate our values and culture to fully embed them into our Council.Develop, improve and manage systems and processes to support our employees and drive their experience and engagement journey focussing on connecting Council's Values and Objectives with employee career goals and development needs.Deliver HR services that support our workforce throughout the employment life cycle.Minimum Requirements Demonstrated high level of practical experience and an in-depth knowledge of work relating to best-practice human resource systems, with the ability to apply this to manage the operational aspects of the position and a demonstrated record of achievement in human resources service delivery.Proven high level leadership skills including the ability to motivate, encourage and direct the efforts of others towards the achievement of goals and the completion of activities / projects in an environment which encourages performance excellence and a customer focus and develops and maintains a team culture based on positive values.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide ideas and advice on innovation, change and service delivery.Demonstrated advanced organisational and time management skills, including a proven ability to manage competing priorities, monitor and report progress and complete set outcomes within tight deadlines, plan work and think independently using judgement and detailed analysis to solve operational, technical or service problems to get results.High level written and verbal interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, persuade and seek agreement, negotiate on important matters, provide key advice both within Council and to external bodies, prepare and interpret reports and provide strategic plans with recommendations for problem resolution.Proficient computer literacy with demonstrated aptitude in data entry and retrieval and records management, working in Data Management Systems such as TRIM and Authority or similar, with the capacity to adapt from other systems, working with Microsoft Office and human resources software.Tertiary qualifications at AQF Level 5 (Diploma) in Human Resources PLUS 3 years' relevant experience, including 2 years at Team Leader level.Hold a current class C, P1 or P2 drivers licence.Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia.Conditions This position is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.30pm with flexible workplace arrangements negotiable.
