Portfolio Controller

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the front offices of their Fidante and Life business units, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time. With your 2-5 years of experience in the finance/funds management industry, you will be instrumental in maintaining control over set portfolios, unit pricing, and fee calculations. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in the financial services industry from day one.Responsibilities:Provide daily cash and position clearance to front office.Manage cash to ensure successful settlement of daily cashflows.Investigate and provide daily commentary on all cash, asset reconciliation breaks and bank overdrafts.Calculate and review daily unit price for applicable funds (domestic and global fixed income).Calculate and review management and performance fees.Maintain the Life Diary with other Portfolio Controllers.Assist in the static data set up/maintenance of unlisted securities.Liaise with Front Office for any bespoke deals, new account setups, in-specie transfers and/or adhoc queries.Accountable for all Middle Office responsibilities connected to the portfolios assigned to you.Participate in project work that will assist in streamlining team processes and business requirements.Requirements:Sound understanding of Middle Office functionality.Knowledge of fixed interest, equity, OTC, FX products.Experience in month end clearance in high pressured environments.Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes.Completed HSC or University degree related to financial markets.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.To apply please click apply or call Maggie Bartley on +61 2 8289 3147 for a confidential discussion.Contract Type: TEMPORARYSpecialism: Banking & Financial ServicesFocus: OperationsIndustry: BankingSalary: AUD350 - AUD418 per dayWorkplace Type: HybridExperience Level: AssociateLocation: Sydney CBDJob Reference: 2016930/001Date posted: 31 October 2024Consultant: Maggie BartleyCome join our global team of creative thinkers, problem solvers and game changers.
