Port Operations Supervisor

Job Description We are looking for Port Operations Supervisors to join our Geraldton Port team on a permanent basis.
The role involves leading our team of Operators, Operator/Maintainers, and Loader Operators to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
To be successful in this role you will need to: Monitor stockpiles and shed capacity, and approving loader plans for ramps, pads, windrows, and runways.
Conduct or assign senior staff to carry out pre-starts, including ship loading pre-starts.
Maintain awareness of shipping schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet demand.
Ensure the effective utilisation of maintenance management software (MEX) for tracking and scheduling maintenance activities.
Conduct field interactions and investigate incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Assist with record-keeping, data collection, and reporting on operational performance, including job scorecards for staff.
Provide regular updates and reports to management on operational performance and resource requirements.
Schedule employee shifts to ensure adequate coverage for leave and shutdown periods.
Demonstrate and promote strong safety values among team members.
Lead operations and team members to ensure safe and productive port operations.
Coordinate loader movements and allocate downtime for repairs and maintenance.
Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Electrical Supervisor to schedule routine maintenance activities.
This is a permanent opportunity, based in Geraldton, working a 7/7/7 roster.    Qualifications Previous experience in a supervisory role (desirable) Strong understanding of port operations Valid and current licence.
Relevant VOC's for machinery operations.
