The role's primary function is to liaise and work with a wide range of government and non-government agencies, professionals, and community groups to progress community action on alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention initiatives.

They will demonstrate an ability to collaborate with health and community groups on education, health promotion, and alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention initiatives. Experience in developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating AOD prevention programs is essential, as well as high-level written communication skills for effective report writing.
The role requires excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including negotiation abilities to connect with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should also have experience in delivering training to professionals and community groups and possess a solid understanding of the effects of drugs and alcohol on individuals, families, and communities. Adherence to personal and professional boundaries is critical, alongside strong administrative, computer, and problem-solving skills.
