About the Role This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2026.
The Policy Officer will work as part of a high performing team to deliver key government priorities to reform the building system and deliver safe and quality buildings for Victorians with a focus on matters relating to emergency recovery. Working in a dynamic environment, the role will contribute to several policy projects designed to improve building outcomes for the industry, practitioners and consumers, with a focus on policy reforms to enhance resilience and protect communities and the built environment.
This includes supporting the development of policy options, assisting with drafting of regulatory changes, preparing briefings and correspondence for Ministers and executives, and working across a wide range of government, industry and consumer stakeholders to achieve effective building policy and regulatory outcomes.
