As a Policy Officer, you will:

• research and present advice to contribute to policy and legislative processes across the department
• coordinate and prepare comprehensive, accurate and timely briefings and documentation to support policy and legislative reforms to achieve the department's strategic objectives.
The Policy Officer key responsibilities are: • Support the department's consultative processes and attendance at inter-agency meetings.
• Analyse and prepare reports, general correspondence, briefing notes, memoranda for approval to departmental standards on diverse issues.
• Provide high quality process support to departmental policy and research functions.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Prior policy experience is not a requirement of the position. Applicants with frontline child safety or other backgrounds seeking a career change are encouraged to apply.
