Dynamic PMO Manager position available, 12 months Fixed Term position. Based at the Melbourne CBD campus (Hybrid role), and Flexible Working Arrangements.

Ability to work on larger and/or more complex projects with technology, processes, and people.

Collaborates across ITS stakeholders and staff at all levels.

About the Portfolio
The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.

The Operations Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations.

The Operations Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life globally. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.

The Information Technology Services (ITS) function provides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services. The Role
The PMO Manager will be responsible for delivery governance practices across the CMMT Project. This role will drive the governance processes to ensure the Project is managed to key metrics of Cost, Quality & Schedule.

The role will be well versed in the RMIT Delivery Framework and Project Governance requirements, leading the project reporting, financial analysis, schedule management, co-ordination of RAID processes, and administrative support for the program.

This role sits within a broader Project Management practice, and will also have the opportunity to support practices across the Portfolio.

Skills & Experience

Developing strategic analysis related to project performance and delivering key insights against agreed metrics to the executive groups, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Project Managers.

Develop Program processes to govern Cost, Quality & Schedule standards, allowing Delivery Managers to identify and address deviations.

Co-ordinate with the Program team to maintain the Program schedule with a clear view of baseline, status, projected forecast, and a clear critical path.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a PMO leadership role, including leading junior resources.

Actively support the Program's Ways of Working with a mindset of continuous improvement.

Analyse financial data, maintaining relevant tools and providing financial reports and budget outlines to leadership.

Conduct delivery assurance reviews, investigating beyond the metrics to identify root causes and pre-empt problem areas.

The ability to work autonomously by meeting deadlines, managing priorities, and adapting to moving timeframes.

Experience in working within a Waterfall and Agile project delivery environment, with a demonstrated understanding of both practices.
