ABOUT THIS ROLEAs a JJ's Plant Operator, you will work at either the Caloundra or Nambour Landfill Facilities on the Sunshine Coast.
This role will require the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery, labouring, and driving a variety of vehicles.
You will be working with a safe and reliable fleet, offering family-friendly hours – 4 days on, 4 days off - rotating roster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate a variety of plant machinery including: skid steers, dozers, dump trucks, and front-end loadersSite labouring dutiesOversee waste disposal activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with environmental regulationsConduct regular site inspections to monitor conditions and address any potential riskMaintain and perform accurate waste disposal methodsGenerate requirements for daily, weekly, and monthly reports on landfill operations, including environmental responsibilitiesContribute to the implementation of waste management and recycling programsEnsure the safety of all personnel and visitors on the sitePerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipmentBe available to work overtime and weekends - 4 days on, 4 days off rotating rosterABOUT YOUExperience and tickets for operating mobile plant equipment (skid steers, compactors, dozers, front-end loaders)HR LicenceExperience & tickets in mobile plant operation across a variety of machinesPrevious experience in landfill operations or a related field (preferred)Proficiency in data entry and report generationKnowledge of environmental regulations and safety proceduresStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsProven safety record and adherence to safety practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsBENEFITSWe appreciate there is more to life than work, and we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done; with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, including:
