An opportunity has arisen for a Plant Metallurgist to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Metallurgist and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on optimising processing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective concentrate production.
Your primary responsibilities will include:Generating and maintaining daily and weekly metallurgical production reports, ensuring targets are met and identifying areas for improvement.Monitoring and optimising processing consumables, equipment wear, and process control systems to enhance plant performance.Collaborating with Geology and Mining teams to optimise ore deposition and blending schedules for improved metallurgical performance.Identifying plant improvement opportunities and developing project plans to evaluate and quantify associated benefits.Providing technical guidance, mentorship, and training to process technicians and metallurgical staff.Assisting with maintenance planning, supporting safety and compliance requirements, and generating supporting documentation for metallurgical projects.About You
Our ideal candidate will have a few years of postgraduate experience in similar roles, including a sound understanding of concentrator processes (e.g., blending, crushing, grinding, flotation).
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in metallurgy or chemical engineering.Experience in metallurgical accounting.Familiarity with PI Historian and statistical analysis.Current C Class driver's licence (manual).About 29Metals and Golden Grove
