Further Details About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager. In this role, you will be leading a manufacturing site in Shepparton, producing a variety of food products for Australian families. Reporting to the GM Operations, you will be responsible for Safety, People, Quality, Output, Customer Satisfaction, and Cost.
Champion safety on-site and model positive safety behaviours, ensuring safety remains the top priority. Oversee production activities, aligning with the business's quality systems and ensuring customer quality standards are always met. Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement to achieve operational excellence, safety performance, market-leading quality, and cost competitiveness. Lead efforts to challenge and improve productivity standards. Ensure full compliance with relevant standards, including ISO, HACCP, and GMP. Cultivate a supportive, proactive, and engaged work culture that fosters career development and business success. Manage significant investment projects to sustain and exceed production targets to meet growing customer demands. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following: A degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce, or a related field. Strong understanding of OHSE standards and legislation, with a passion for promoting proactive safety behaviors. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (safety, production, quality, engineering, maintenance) in a food manufacturing environment. Exceptional leadership and communication skills that drive performance and foster employee engagement. A proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge and experience with lean tools and processes. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, including operational, labor, repairs, maintenance, and capital expenditure.
